Terms of Service
Last updated: September 29, 2026
Welcome to Recetas Mexas. By visiting or using recetasmexas.com you accept these Terms of Service. Please read them: if you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
This page is provided for information only and is not legal advice. For advice about your own situation, speak to a solicitor in your state or territory.
1. The service
Recetas Mexas is an editorial platform and a directory about authentic Mexican cooking: recipes, cultural guides and listings of Mexican grocers and restaurants, prepared for readers in Australia.
We are not a shop. We publish information. We do not sell food, kitchen equipment or any other goods, we take no orders and we process no payments. When you buy something you read about here, you buy it from a third party, on their site, under their terms and their own consumer guarantees.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to open an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
- You may not open an account for somebody else without their permission.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
3. Content you post
When you post a rating, a comment, a suggestion or any other content, you:
- give Recetas Mexas a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to show that content on the site;
- confirm that it is yours, or that you have the right to share it;
- agree not to post anything unlawful, offensive, false or infringing;
- accept that we may moderate, edit or remove content.
4. Intellectual property
Our original content (the recipes our team writes, our photographs, the translations, the cultural stories, the brand and the logos) is protected by copyright. You may share links and print pages for your own personal use. Without our written permission you may not reproduce or redistribute our content, sell it, scrape it in bulk, or use our brand or logos.
5. Affiliate disclosure
Some pages carry affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. If you buy through one of those links we may receive a small commission, at no extra cost to you. It helps keep the site free to read, and it never changes what we write about a recipe or a business.
6. Accuracy, and what we do not warrant
The site and its content are provided as they are and as available. Recipes are information, not advice for your particular diet or health: you are responsible for checking allergens and dietary restrictions, for confirming the details of a grocer or restaurant with the business itself, and for your own cooking and buying decisions. Listings change without telling us.
Beyond that, and only as far as the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, express or implied. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies the consumer guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Where such a guarantee applies and cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to what the Australian Consumer Law permits.
7. Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, Recetas Mexas and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the site.
This limit applies only to the extent the Australian Consumer Law allows. It does not exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy that the Australian Consumer Law gives you and that cannot be excluded.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will give reasonable notice of a material change, and the date at the top of this page always shows the current version. If you keep using the site after a change is published, you accept it.
9. Governing law
Recetas Mexas is operated from Spain and, as between us, Spanish law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer in Australia, that choice does not deprive you of the protection of the Australian Consumer Law, of your privacy rights under the Privacy Act 1988, or of your right to bring a claim before the courts open to you where you live. The Australian Consumer Law is enforced by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
