Pomegranate

Pomegranate is a fruit with jewel-like ruby seeds used mainly as a festive garnish in Mexican cooking. It is the most iconic visual element of chiles en nogada, where its ruby seeds are scattered over the white walnut cream sauce. It is also used in Christmas salads and in seasonal fresh fruit drinks.
