Pear

Pear is used in Mexican cooking in warm drinks and as part of festive dish fillings. It is an ingredient in Christmas ponche, in chiles en nogada as part of the fruit and mince filling, and in desserts such as pear and walnut pie. It is also used in homemade preserves and seasonal fresh fruit waters.
