Metro Atlanta doesn't have one Mexican food strip — it has several, and they sit in different counties with different histories. Our directory of active US restaurants and stores lists 28 Mexican businesses across two corridors we can actually document with addresses: Buford Highway, running through DeKalb County's Doraville and into Gwinnett County's Norcross, and South Cobb Drive, on the other side of the metro in Marietta. Treating them as the same place would be wrong — they're roughly 25 miles apart — so this guide keeps them separate.

Buford Highway: Doraville and Norcross

Buford Highway is widely known in Atlanta as an international retail corridor, and our own data backs that up for the Mexican-food slice of it specifically. South Cobb Drive: Marietta

On the west side of metro Atlanta, Marietta has its own cluster — 11 listings, 3 restaurants and 8 stores — centered on South Cobb Drive and radiating out to Roswell Street, Franklin Gateway and Powder Springs Street. This is not Buford Highway; it's a separate immigrant retail corridor in a different county (Cobb, not DeKalb/Gwinnett), and conflating the two would misrepresent the geography.
