Recetas Mexas (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. • Internet/network activity: pages viewed, searches, interactions, browser and device information.
• Geolocation (optional): approximate location, only if you allow it in your browser, to show nearby Mexican stores.
• User-generated content: ratings, comments, suggestions, shopping lists, favorite recipes.
• Commercial/inference data: inferred preferences (e.g., favorite categories) used to personalize content.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to operate the site.

3. How we use personal information

• Provide and maintain the platform (login, favorites, shopping list).
• Send our newsletter when you request it.
• Analyze aggregate usage (Google Analytics) to improve content and UX.
• Operate affiliate links (Amazon Associates) and attribute qualifying purchases.

To opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, email us with the subject “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information,” decline analytics/advertising cookies in our cookie banner, or enable a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, which we honor as a valid opt-out.

8. Service providers

We share personal information only with providers that help us operate the service, such as:

• Supabase (database and authentication).
• Cloudflare R2 (image storage).
• Vercel (website hosting).
• Google Analytics (aggregate analytics).
• Amazon Associates (affiliate program).

9. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active, and otherwise as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

10. Children

Our service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be highlighted on the site or sent to registered users by email.
