Crystallised fruits are fruits preserved in sugar syrup, typical of Mexican confectionery from San Cristóbal de las Casas and Oaxaca. They are used to decorate rosca de Reyes for Epiphany, in Christmas sweet breads, and in seasonal desserts. Fig, citron, orange, and biznaga cactus are the most traditional varieties.
