Güero Chile

Chiles

$3.99 / lbApproximate price based on US supermarkets.

Güero chile is a pale yellow or light green fresh chile with moderate heat and a fruity flavor. It is used in chicken broths, in sauces for Swiss-style enchiladas, and as a blistered chile at northern Mexican taquerias. Its name means 'fair-haired' in reference to its pale color, similar to a banana pepper.
